Workshop at CDC Atlanta Unconscious Bias – From Awareness to Action

I just returned from conducting an Unconscious Bias workshop at the CDC in Atlanta. Wonderful turnout and important discussions. The workshop, Unconscious Bias: From Awareness to Action gave participants specific strategies to disrupt and counter personal bias. Based on the Defeating Unconscious Bias video, I worked with people to explore, uncover and offer suggestions on how to tackle individual bias. Then we created an Action Plan for participants and units to move forward.

One of the main themes was that we all have bias – it doesn’t make us bad people. The question is what you want to do about it.

SunShower offers workshops and online webinars on unconscious bias, stereotypes, and creating a more respectful workplace. For more information about a workshop for your organization, please call Joel directly!
