Ouch! workshop at Iowa State

Ouch! That Stereotypes Hurts was used in a training at Iowa State University. Here’s the link to the article in the local paper “It was very good,” said Center Associates therapist Kevin Duncan. “It raises the level of awareness for how I can stereotype.”

“It’s up to all of us to communicate responsibly, whether we are in our personal life, whether we are in our business life,” says Iowa State University Extension and Outreach human sciences specialist Malisa Rader.

A recent study at the University of Cincinnati showed that Ouch! trainings work: 82% of trainees reported that they had already used the Ouch! skills in their workplace interactions and personal lives within 3 months. The Ouch! program is available as DVD, USB, Streaming video, Elearning course.
