The 21-Day Plan for Disarming Microaggressions with Dr. Derald Wing
Sue has been selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts to
be recognized as a Communicator Award winner!
It’s a wonderful honor and we’re thrilled that this online,
micro-learning course has been honored with this award. With over
4,000 entries received from across the US and around the world,
the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards
program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
The 21-Day Plan is a micro-learning course with 21 modules of 3-5
minutes each. The course is a comprehensive presentation of what
microaggressions are, how they damage people and workplace culture, and
what each person in your organization can do to interrupt, speak up, and
prevent microaggressions from damaging the psychological safety of the
workplace.
The course is based on the work of Dr. Derald Wing Sue, the author
of hundreds of articles and many books on microaggressions, including
Microaggressions in Everyday Life and Microintervention Strategies.
The 21 Day Plan for Disarming Microaggressions shows learners
how comments or questions that might sound harmless or even like
compliments, actually carry a hidden message that hurts. The course
includes activities to identify the hidden messages and then practice
for how to speak up and interrupt a microaggression when it happens or
afterwards.
