DEI Commitment = Higher Reputation Scores

Companies that maintained their commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion saw reputation scores rise in this year's Axios Harris Poll 100 reputation rankings.
For those keeping score (like me), this is a big deal and demonstrates the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion for the public, investors and employees. Just ask Target, they've lost foot traffic and revenue steadily ever since they turned away from their DEI commitment. And ask Costco and Patagonia about the benefits of their commitment to DEI as they're ranking in the top three in trust, culture and citizenship.
This article in AXIOS explains why this matters: Unclear corporate values or a lack of conviction — most recently seen through mass DEI walk-backs — can hinder reputation.
Where do you want to spend your money? Work? Invest? The Axios Harris Poll of 100 is a good indication of where the public weighs in.
