“At RingCentral we understand the importance of conducting regular unconscious bias training and offer such training regularly as part of our Learning and Development initiatives.”
The article, posted on LinkedIn regarding the creation of inclusion culture, continues by discussing how “biases in the workplace can have a severe impact along the entire spectrum of someone’s career, starting with getting hired in the first place so we know the importance of unconscious bias training and busting.”
Personal note here – I have worked with Tu-Han and the team at RingCentral. The difficulties minorities face working in the workplace have only been compounded by the arrival of the coronavirus. Hiring managers, recruiters, human resources staff, as well as the entire organization as a whole, have a responsibility to ensure they do all they can to minimize these difficulties by coming to grips with unconscious biases — and eradicating them.
